Del Mar Villa and its original builder (Del Smith) have a long and intriguing story; he was an American aviator and businessman from the local Willamette Valley. You can google him for all sorts of great info and stories! Fast forward about 20 years after Del Mar Villa was planned and built...it went to Sotheby's Auction (a few years following Del's passing). We didn’t initially win the leading auction bid, but found out a few months later that it was still available and we could purchase it at a set price (December 2019). We jumped at the opportunity! Then 3 months later, Covid happened. Over 2020, we rehabbed the Villa, worked on furnishing it, and navigated through licensing and operating plans. In early 2021, we fixed up the Victorian home and moved our full time inn-keepers onto the property. By Spring of 2021, we began allowing friends, family, and guests to rent the entire Villa out for extended periods of time for family vacations, reunions, small events, and retreats. Over the past few years, we have welcomed so many incredible guests to the Villa...and we SO MUCH look forward to the many more!

We may consider small multi-day celebratory stays on a case-by-case basis. Del Mar Villa is located in a small and primarily residential agricultural community filled with wildlife and away from the ‘hustle and bustle’ of city life. Out of respect for our neighboring residences and businesses and in compliance with local zoning laws, we avoid allowing large parties or events that can disrupt the peaceful quiet enjoyment of our community.

No, you cannot. We have security gates ensuring privacy for us, our neighbors, and our guests. Visits/tours are by appointment only.

On a case-by-case basis, we do allow photography or filming to be done at the Villa. Please contact us directly for upcoming dates and times we may have available.

Everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible! We include all luxury bed and bath linens, the kitchen is stocked for 30 person service, travel size bath amenities, kitchen and bath paper goods, games, puzzles, and more. Contact us directly for a more specific list of what all is included.

-We do NOT have air conditioning (although our stucco exterior, screens doors and louvered shutters help with keeping the temperature in the Villa nice and cool). 

-We do NOT allow pets at the Villa.

-We have a ‘high-level’ of security at the Villa. We have a security monitoring system, as well as several outdoor cameras throughout the property. This ensures the security of us, our neighbors, and our guests. It also prevents potential trespassing or break-ins. 

-Lastly, as disclosed in all our contracts: Guests must comply with all rules and regulations provided within their contract. Please understand that Del Mar Villa is a private residence and not a public hotel or facility. All uses must conform in spirit to this and allow for the private, quiet enjoyment of all neighbors. All guests must behave in a suitable and appropriate manner. Del Mar Villa reserves the right to determine whether behavior and use during a rental period conforms to this standard. Del Mar Villa reserves the right to halt a rental that is not conforming to these standards without advance notice and without refund. Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am, 7 days a week.
